Washington Teachers' Union Building Representative Fall Training will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011.
Completing this training will allow WTU Building Representatives to assist members with greater knowledge and increased expertise. Building Representatives perform several crucial functions for WTU members, including:
- Ensuring justice on the job by enforcing the contract
- Enhancing members' image of WTU and of the vital services that all unions provide
- Providing leadership in areas like politics, civil rights, and community issues
In addition, serving as an effective Building Representative is excellent training for other positions of responsibility in the Union.

We look forward to seeing WTU Building Representatives at the training. If you cannot attend, please encourage your alternate Building Representative or another WTU SCAC member to attend in your place. Fourteen Professional Learning Units (PLUs) will be offered for completing this training.
