The WTU Office of Professional Development and Educational Issues will focus on the following three key opportunities and challenges:
- Providing current, engaging, job-embedded, and continuous professional learning experiences to ALL collective bargaining unit members, and community stakeholders;
- Developing the expertise and thorough understanding of current educational issues and best teaching practices for developmentally-appropriate pedagogy;
- Facilitating collegiality and participatory change through teacher empowerment, teacher leadership and collective efforts in response to our members and the school district’s support for high-quality teaching and learning.
